Abstract: The article is devoted to a new direction in musical education and science recently established at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.
The study examines various aspects of mediamusic as an academic and creative field within the framework of the Gnesins’ institution, focusing specifically on its research and educational dimensions. Furthermore, the paper provides a comprehensive overview of such large-scale competitive events as «Kinorex» and «The Sound Environment of Modernity”.
