Abstract: The article systematizes the author’s experience of choirmaster’s work in the folk choir of Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. The article is devoted to the analysis of performance techniques developed when working with a folk choir. The material of the study was spiritual poems and vivat kant arranged by M. V. Medvedeva. The main aspect of consideration of the material is its practical orientation, as well as performing tasks in a broad analytical context.
