| Abstract: Lots of issues related to management of music schools build the contents of the interview given by Aleksandr Ryzhinsky, rector of Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, to Dina Kirnarskaya. This interview is marking the 130th anniversary of the Gnesin system of music education and deals with multi-level structure of music schools (school — college — high school) and their role within the national system of music education as well as challenges and achievements of recent years leading to new horizons of Gnesin Academy’s development.
