Abstract:  The new catalog of S. V. Rachmaninoff’s autographs from the collection of the Russian National Museum of Music, published in 2023, marks a qualitative breakthrough in the development of the museum’s vast holdings. The catalog is on a fundamentally different scientific level compared to the two earlier editions of 1955 and 1980. The structure of the catalog with all its complexity is clear and convenient: five main parts cover all types of autographs and four appendices. Among the important achievements of the catalog’s compilers are the epistolary documents identified for the first time, not published and not mentioned anywhere before. The publication is an important and necessary step toward a complete description of all Rachmaninoff materials at the RNMM.
