Abstract: The article is devoted to Margarita Konstantinovna Shaposhnikova, an outstanding musician, Professor of Woodwind Instrument Department at Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, and her role in forming and developing the Russian saxophone performing school.

Previously unpublished interviews are given with Margarita Konstantinovna, as well as student reviews that reveal various aspects of the musician’s personality and his unique teaching methods.
